Alok Banger. Amazing kicks. Dance potential. Broke my legs. Favorite track: UDDS.

Yung Dave Crazylegs always finds a way to make me love it again.

This EP is a full realization of dJJ's Just a Lil track which was released last year, complete with a lo-fi fliter house touch, upbeat melodies, and a French touch to it. Clubkelly adds a lot to the table (given the fact that he's actually from France) with a hefty amount of vocal choppage and a laidback atmosphere that bodes well as summer turns down and winter approaches. 10/10

Nic Brown I can't say I've knowingly listened to any Basque house before but if Clubkelly's EP is exemplary of its style, I'll be keeping my ears open for more. Hyperactive and awash with breathless female vocal samples, it demands you dance rather than trying to coax you into heading for the floor, but that's unsurprising given that it's been released on the Crazy Legs label, home to Gage and Ziro amongst others. My current fave is "UDDS" which barrels along to the accompaniment of a slightly overloud trumpet sample, but in all honesty, there's nothing underwhelming about any of the four cuts here. Clubkelly's approach to house is brash, noisy and, above all, fun. I love it unreservedly. Favorite track: UDDS.

CLUBKELLY makes his full debut on Crazylegs with a glorious set of crushed 4x4 belters, straight from the Basque Coast to the dancefloor.

Raised in the south of France, CLUBKELLY now splits his time between Paris and the coastal town of Biarritz. His music is a freewheeling blend of his influences - ending up somewhere between MJ Cole’s melodies, Finn’s hyperactive sample cutting and the fizzing euphoria of DJ Falcon.

Like dJJ's just a lil or T_A_M's Silk/Sweat on Local Action before it, this EP is a loud reminder that the best house music wears its heart on its sleeve.
